Among the renovations that were made to the Historic Center center are: the main garden, the esplanade of the Plaza de Juárez, the façade of the Municipal presidency and the portals of the main streets. It has a boardwalk with ocean views. The design of the remodeling of this Mediterranean-style Historical Center is the work of the renowned Architect José Luis Ezquerra de la Colina, who designed the Las Hadas Resort, managing to place Manzanillo on the global level as a Tourist Destination. It also has extensive beaches in the two bays and the Malecón stands out with views of the Sea.
